If you are having problems logging into Paypal today? You are not alone. We are having the same difficulty ourselves.

After spending time contacting Paypal to find out why our login attempts kept timing out they finally stated that we were not the only ones having the problem and that they are looking into it.

They will probably ask you to wait for an hour or so before attempting to log in again. We did this, but unfortunately the problem is still not resolved.

Hopefully the sharp minds at Paypal will have their system up and running properly very soon.

Online content theft is growing at epidemic proportions. As hard-working marketers spend their time carefully crafting articles a new breed of article directory is busy stealing their hard work.

We took a visit to http://www.articlescience.net and did not see a single writer resource box…not a single one. 

An associate of ours had previously told us that he had some articles stolen by articlescience.net. He pointed the articles out to us and it’s true, there was no link back to his website or resource box to be found.

What can you do? We think it’s time to send content thieves a message…and the message is that you can’t use our content without our permission!

Typically the first step is to verify that the content is indeed yours
The send step is to contact the website owner and tell them to remove content. In this step you will often times encounter resistance or get some lame excuse like, “I copied it from an article directory that said it was free to use”

We have never encountered a responsible hosting company that has not honored DMCA.

It has come to our attention the Vortech Hosting blatantly ignores DMCA takedown notices. What does this mean?

From all evidence we currently have at our disposal this means is that if a website contains your stolen content that Vortech Hosting will ignore your request to have your stolen content removed.

Recently an associate of ours found his stolen content on a website that was hosted by Vortech Hosting. He sent Vortech Hosting a proper DMCA take down notice. Soon he received the following email from Vortech Hosting.

Now the interesting thing is when he went to support was that he had to register to check on the status of the support ticket automatically created by the Vortech Hosting system.

Now you are not going to believe what happened to him when he went to register! The registration form actually REQUIRED him to put in the last 4 digits of his credit card number!! Needless to say he didn’t do it! So basically it appears as if Vortech Hosting want to make it impossible to reach them by email.

Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous in your life! Well, frustrated to no end our associate called Vortech Hosting on the phone and received an answering machine so he had to leave a message. Weeks later the message was not returned so he called Vortech Hosting again. This time he got someone in the sales department who was unhelpful, but asked for his number and promised that someone would call him back. He has yet to receive that call.

We will keep you updated on the continuing saga of the Vortech Hosting stolen content debacle.

Needless to say based upon the information we have thus far we cannot recommend that anyone use Voretech Hosting.

Apparently the rules at Ebay change like the shifting grains of sand in a desert…so much so in fact that it seems like you get a different answer when you speak with a different Ebay employee. So the employee you get information from may not actually be incompetent…it may just be that Ebay policies may have changed in between the breakfast and lunch corporate.

As for our associate, he will become one of the many sellers of digital products who will leave Ebay. It would have been nice if he had received an email telling him of a policy change before he spent his precious little free time preparing numerous auctions only to find out that he could run them.

I’m certain that they have some smart people at Ebay, but perhaps the smartest people are not the one that make the seemingly on-the-fly policy decisions. They should certainly realize that the world is growing more and more digital by the day. Maybe Ebay doesn’t want to be a part of that world. That would seem to be contradictory since Ebay itself is a digital company and neither buys, nor sells, nor warehouses.
