New Ebay Error: “The item cannot be listed or modified.”

An associate of ours who sells on Ebay has brought yet another Ebay listing error message to our attention.

As a seller you may have seen this error when trying to upload your auctions using Ebay Turbo Lister software.

Apparently you’ll may get this errorif your title of description contains the word “ebook”. He didn’t notice this until he updated his TurboLister software…which he now thinks was a mistake as it took him 10 times as long as to list a few items as it has ever taken before.

He now views updating his TurboLister software not as an upgrade or improvement, but as a way for Ebay to impose their increasingly restrictive policies on sellers.

His view is that if Ebay continues to make it increasingly difficult for honest sellers to operate that Ebay will become increasing filled with fraud.

In his experience he has seen that Ebay continually cautions against doing business with anyone who contacts you about doing transactions outside of Ebay. He states that in reality the most trouble he has had dealing with dishonest people has actually been when doing business on Ebay. This places an incredibly different perspective on how safe many people may think Ebay is.

Ebay has been in continuous decline for some time now showing that clinging to rules that are truly not in the best interest of your customers will take it’s toll on your bottom line. Ebay stock has been recently trading at some of the lowest levels in it’s history. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Huge Increase In SEO Services Spammers Using Gmail Accounts

There’s been a big increase in the number of people sending spam through Google Gmail accounts lately.

Many of them such as the ones I have listed below are offers for “white hat” SEO services including high pagerank blog links.

The funny thing is that they claim they can help you with SEO and not get you banned. If that were so good at white hat SEO why would they have to send spam to solicit business?

Some of these emails will even ask you to take certain actions to remove yourself from their mailing list. Don’t do it. If you did not sign up for their list then you should not be on their list.

Do not respond to these email messages in any for or fashion.

Online Fact: People who are truly good at what they do don’t have to spam to get business. If they were really good at SEO they could get all the traffic they could handle using legal means.

Here’s is a list of the spam email addresses as well as IP addresses.
Notice that there are many IP addresses grouped together.

Beware Of Nicholas Cole Of MasteredManuscripts.com

It has come to our attention that Nicholas Cole of MasteredManuscripts.com has been found guilty of not delivering what he has promised his clients.

Mr. Cole was offering a salesletter writing service called NoLimitCopy.com. His promise was to deliver to his subscribers an unlimted number of salesletters every month. On the surface this sounds like a pretty good deal doesn’t it?

Things seemed as though they started out well and a very few clients were initially receiving their requested letters. As the number of subscribers grew the delays grew longer and longer until the salesletters… just stopped coming.

Many just did not even get a fraction of what they had already paid for or anything at all.

Every business has it’s growing pains. That is understandable. Unfortunately at this point, Mr. Cole began to make excuses…..and eventually he simply stopped responding to emails.

In a public announcement Mr. Cole made more excuses as to why things "did not work out." Not once did Mr. Cole use the words "sorry" or "apologize" in reference to the inconvenience he had caused his clients.

Rather than face the music and either complete all pending requested salesletters and issue all refunds, Mr. Cole announced that he had sold "the company." If there even is a new owner, (many believe it’s just another ‘tactic’ – so if there actually is one) was made aware of the declining reputation of the "company."

The name now listed in the nolimitcopy.com Whois record is Ryan Street. We attempted to call ‘ Mr. Street ‘ but the phone number listed gave a "We’re sorry. You have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service" message.

Here’s some live feedback from actual clients of Mr. Cole:

Client #1

I really don’t like posting negative reviews, but I think it is each of our responsibility to let the public know when we have not received what we have paid for. In this way we can save others the headache of spending their hard-earned money and getting nothing in returned.

Nicholas Cole, the owner of masteredmanuscripts.com has taken his potential to be a good copywriter and decided to throw his reputation away by taking payment for services that he did not deliver. Let me explain further.

Mr. Cole runs or ran a copywriting service called "No Limit Copy" which was a membership which claimed to provide unlimited salesletters to it’s members. As it turns out "No Limit" refers to the fact that there is apparently "no limit" to how long it might take you to get the salesletters that you paid for or a refund that was promised.

When Mr. Cole ended up far behind on delivering the service that he promised he announced that he had sold the company. I cannot say whether the company has been sold although the Whois record reflects a different name and a phone number that is "no longer in service".

As it stands now, Nicholas Cole still owes a number of his clients refunds which he has yet to pay. It appears as if Mr. Cole has decided to "take the money and run" and my statement will remain as such until such time as Mr. Cole returns the money he has unlawfully taken.

As this is the case I would rate the company as not being in good standing and would not recommend doing business with them under any circumstances.

Client #2

"Nicholas Cole" Strikes Again!

(Took my money and ran)

Nicholas Cole received a lot of money from hundreds of people who paid him and his group of "professional writers" hundreds of dollars monthly and in many cases thousands of dollars from each for ’salesletters’ that were never delivered and money never got returned.

Several attempts to contact him were made and each time

Cole tried to act as if he was the victim instead of the hundreds of people who he duped out of their hard-earned money.

He would promise "unlimited salesletters" and then not deliver.

When he was called out publicly, he denied any of his crimes

and tried to blame those people whose money he took for being "unreasonable"

for expecting what he promised them he would deliver in writing himself!

I also do not like to leave negative reviews and never would have

unless I had my money stolen from this guy month after month

on his recurring billing set up, each time without ever getting

what I paid for or even an apology.

He claims to have sold his business.

What timing!

He promises the moon, takes your money and bills your same credit card

monthly

and  only After he gets hundreds of people paying him monthly,

THEN "sells his business" leaving everyone without their money

or what they paid for.

Do NOT trust any slick words by "Nicholas Cole".

If he tries to smooth talk you to trick you, do not fall for it!

I wish I had at least once received what I paid for so I could give some

sort of review of his work, but he took the money and didn’t deliver!

I encourage anyone else who has been ripped off by "Nicholas Cole"

to not be afraid to share your story.

He has stolen now from too many people.

(Just like the first reviewer, the only reason there is even 1 star on this review is because you have to choose one of the options and that is the lowest possible rating.)

This is posted to warn others to not do business with Nicholas Cole

while you still have your money!

Here is a discussion of Mr. Cole’s practices with clients still looking for either a refund or the promised delivery of salesletters they’ve paid for:

http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/71836-does-anyone-know-how-get-touch-warrior-ndcole78.html

Conclusion: Based upon the unbiased information we have at our disposal we would not recommend doing business with Mr. Nicholas Cole of MasteredManuscripts.com

We would like to thank those who have come forward to expose Mr. Cole. Your efforts to warn your fellow marketers is to be commended.

*Caution: According to sources, Cole has been telling the people who haven’t ordered yet and been burned by him yet he is going to start a "New Copywriting Site".

It appears he is planning on doing the same thing as he did to the others he stole from

without ever refunding them or trying to make it right.

Article Content Theft Rears IT’s Ugly Head…Again – Part 2

I have good news to report. My associate has informed me that his stolen content has been removed from the Article Dashboard website.

After not receiving any response from Article Dashboard he decided to contact their hosting company WiredTree.com. He received a response the very same day from WiredTree.

The next day a representative from WiredTree contacted my associate to inform him that the infringing content would be removed withing 24-48 hours. the day after receipt of this notice the content had been removed from the Article Dashboard website.

To date my associate still has not received a response from Article Dashboard.

Hats off to WireTree.com for taking copyright infringment seriously and for taking the necessary actions in a timely fashion.

Article Content Theft Rears IT’s Ugly Head…Again

Recently we wrote about how quickly and efficiently EzineArticles.com handled the removal of a stolen article that was posted.

Well, blatant article theft has reared it’s ugly head again, this time on ArticleDashboard.com. Another associate found a article that was stolen from his website and placed on ArticleDashboard without permission. This is even worse than having an article stolen from an article directory because his website was supposed to be the only website with that unique content.

He found an ArticleDashboard author listed as, Usman Iftikhar , claiming to be the author of the article. He decided that he needed to report the incident to ArticleDashboard so they could have the article removed ASAP.

Contacting ArticleDashboard to report the stolen was not made as simple as it was with EzineArticles. It was, however, nice to see the mention of reporting any stolen work in the Terms Of Service. ArticleDashboard does state that it will remove the article in question immediately. Unfortunately while ArticleDashboard metions to contact them there was no abuse email address or contact information listed within the terms of service. The "Contact Us" link leads to a page with a link that leads to their email address.

My associate sent an email to this link and it bounced back. He tried sending another email from a different email address and it bounced backed. Finally he looked up the Whois info and found he had to send an email to an "@domainsbyproxy.com" address as it was a private registration.

Hopefully ArticleDashboard will take care of this soon.

When It Comes To Plagiarized Articles EzineArticles Takes Care Of Business

I was just speaking to an associate of mine and he was so anxious to relate his most recent experience with EzineArticles.

He had just checked one of his articles through CopyScape, (an excellent service for checking plagiarism) and discovered there were 2 of the same article on EzineArticles.

He quickly found out that one of the articles was not his, but had been copied and claimed by another EzineArticles author. He immediately reported the stolen article to EzineArticles and they removed the article within hours. Now that’s what I call service!

It’s no wonder why EzineArticle is the leader of the pack of article directories.

Unfortunately, not all content aggregators act as quickly as EzineArticles does. I have personally submitted a request to Zimbio to remove a plagiarized article of mine. That was about a week ago and the stolen content still remains on their site. Hopefully they’ll take care of this soon.

Kudos to EzineArticles for taking care of business.

Article Architect – The One Article Marketing Product I Love To Hate

Article Architect – The One Article Marketing  Product I Love To Hate

I have been a long-time user of the article marketing product Article Architect by Jay Jennings. It makes organizing your article writing into projects much easier.

There are a lot of things I like about the product as it has been very helpful to me.

Unfortunately I discovered the one thing that makes me uneasy about using the product and certain that I will not buy other products from the creator of this product again. What is the big negative?

CUSTOMER SERVICE – No matter what I have tried to get an answer to a simple question I don’t get a response. I’ve tried emailing, support ticket, posting in the customer forum, and even private messaging the product creator on a forum.

The results – in 4 months not a word, not a peep from anyone in customer support whatsoever. That’s really sad because this really had the makings of a great product.

There is a lesson to be learned here for those buying products to run your online businesses. A product or service without good customer service is simply not worth having.

If you find this product’s customer service raises itself to an acceptable level please feel free to let us know as we want our readers to have the most up-to-date- information.

Host Gator – A Web Hosting Company You Can Count on

Whether you are just getting started in Internet marketing or you are an old pro you realize that rock solid Web hosting with a Web hosting company that provides slamdunk customer service is absolutely vital to the survival of your business.

I’ve used a lot of Web hosting companies in my day and a simple truth of the matter is that none of them are perfect. You will find this to be true of any business. What separates the men from the boys when it comes to web hosting is how your hosting company reacts when things don’t go as planned and either they have a glitch or you have one.

I have personally been with Host Gator for a number of years and the truth of the matter is that Host Gator and I have had our ups and downs. Through all of this they never cease to amaze me with the increasing quality of the customer service that they provide. I’ll give you an example below.

This morning I opened up a support ticket for challenge I was having on a server at 7:21 AM. At 8:20 AM I received a response from Host Gator that indicated that they had helped me and had resolved challenge. I went back and checked the sites in question and they were absolutely, positively correct. They have solved my problem in just under an hour. This is why I stay with them and continue to recommend them.

If you’re looking for a company that you can depend on to help you build your online business that I recommend that you give Host Gator a try.
